Children's wins two Katie Awards

The Public Relations and Marketing department at Children's was honored by the Press Club of Dallas with two 2006 Katie Awards, for the interactive Online Car Seat Safety module and The One for Children radio podcasts.

The awards are given annually by the Press Club of Dallas to recognize outstanding work in journalism and public relations.

Children's was a finalist in several categories and recognized during the awards ceremony. The finalists were:

  • Best Visual Content Non-Profit Web Site -- Online Holiday Safety Program
  • Best Visual Content Non-Profit Web Site -- Online Water Safety Program
  • Best Audio Content (Podcast) -- Non-Profit Web Site, Radio Spot 1 – The One for Children
  • Best Audio Content (Podcast) -- Non-Profit Web Site, Radio Spot 2 – The One for Children
  • Best Graphics Non-Profit Web Site -- Online Car Seat Safety Program
  • Best Graphics Non-Profit Web Site -- Online Allergy Program
  • Best Non-Profit Web Site -- pediatricresidents.com

"Needless to say, we love them all and appreciate that they are both user-friendly and make learning about child safety a fun experience for both parents and their children."
