At Children's Medical CenterRadiology
With state-of-the-art equipment and a nationally recognized medical staff, the Radiology department at Children's performs more than 200,000 procedures annually, including CT scans, MRI, nuclear medicine, ultrasound/sonography, diagnostic and interventional radiology.
Children's provides the finest in imaging resources via the main hospital imaging center for inpatients and the Pavilion Imaging Center for outpatient radiology. The outpatient imaging center, which opened in January 2005, has become a resource for area physicians offering same-day or next-day scheduling for every service.
In addition to the leading-edge diagnostic services and technology that patients at Children's receive, next-generation equipment for interventional/vascular radiology also provides non-surgical alternatives to complex vascular and lymphatic malformations. Non-surgical treatment in many cases shortens the hospital stay, decreases patient discomfort and lowers the cost of providing care.
