Patients get in the Halloween Spirit

Employees of Spirit of Halloween Superstores to visit patients at Children's

As part of the Spirit of Children program, employees from the Spirit of Halloween Superstores taught patients how to paint pumpkins for Halloween. The Spirit of Children program, sponsored by Spirit of Halloween Superstores, helped bring the outside world in so hospitalized children can participate in the fun and fantasy of Halloween.

The Spirit of Children program donated costumes and accessories to the patients to wear during the pumpkin painting activities.

Patients look forward to time spent outside their hospital rooms, whether they're painting pumpkins or building Lego towers with other patients.

Child Life specialists supervise these daily opportunities for patients to play, have fun and just be kids. Child Life specialists help patients adapt to their surroundings and to normalize their hospital experience.
