Live Surgery Workshop and Webinar For Hypospadias Repair

February 27-March 1, 2014

This workshop will analyze options for straightening penile curvature, urethroplasty, and skin management for primary and reoperative repairs based on review of published data, supplemented with live surgical demonstrations.The course is designed for pediatric urologists and surgeons performing hypospadias repair. The course will also discuss quality assessment for individual surgeons to use in improving their outcomes from hypospadias repair, as well as means to improve academic reporting of surgical results.

Upon completion of the workshop, the participant will be able to:
1.   Discuss quality assessment for individual surgeons to improve their outcomes from hypospadias repair.
2. Perform an expanded step-by-step algorithm for straightening penile curvature while preserving the urethral plate.
3. Review published data regarding current options for urethroplasty in primary distal and proximal hypospadias. 
 

Audience Participation

We invite attendees to bring examples of your difficult hypospadias cases - past and present - to review during afternoon Case Discussions.  We will have the ability to view images and pertinent studies as our surgical panel discusses management options.
