Welcome to the pediatric residency training program at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, Children's Medical Center and Parkland Memorial Hospital (NRMP Match Number - 2835320C0).

Our three-year pediatric residency training program at UT Southwestern Medical School offers residents a wide variety of educational and research opportunities (see Research and Meet the Residents for examples). The program is coordinated by the chairman of pediatrics and program director with direct input from the chief residents, faculty, and the housestaff of Children’s Medical Center.

Children’s Medical Center, the primary pediatric teaching facility for UT Southwestern, is devoted to the training of future generations of physicians through its participation in the Pediatrics residency program.  The affiliation between UT Southwestern and Children’s provides a unique opportunity for residents to receive training in a world-class academic center employing the latest developments in the diagnosis and treatment of the full spectrum of childhood disorders. Our outpatient community sites offer a direct connection to ambulatory pediatrics and the community at large.

One of UT Southwestern’s primary hospitals (Parkland Memorial Hospital), is where residents gain valuable experience in the Newborn Nursery and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.  With over 10,000 births per year there, our residents’ time spent in the delivery suites also provides excellent neonatal resuscitation experience.
