Dr. Alina Olteanu, M.D., Ph.D., F.A.A.P.

Education: Graduated from the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine (class of Summer 2013) and Dr. Olteanu is one of only 60 pediatricians trained in integrative medicine through this prestigious program.  Completed a residency in Pediatrics at Texas Children's Hospital and Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. Earned her medical degree from the University of Medicine in Romania and a PhD in biological chemistry at the University of Chapel Hill in North Carolina. 

Certification: Board-certified in Pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics.

Experience: Worked as an assistant professor of Pediatrics at Tulane School of Medicine, in New Orleans, LA, and was the medical director of a mobile unit program.  Worked as a Pediatric AIDS Corps physician in Lesotho, Africa.

Experience: Prior to joining MyChildren’s, she was on staff at St. Joseph Mercy Oakland and William Beaumont Hospitals in Michigan.

Dr. Hain is a general pediatrician with over 14 years of practice experience, and interest in behavioral health and learning difficulties. She is available for consultation for problems with children like ADHD or learning or school difficulties, and has training from Vanderbilt’s Center for Child Development in using  the STAT, Screening Tool for Autism, for diagnosis of autism in young children. Her practice is open to patients by referral only, by a Primary Care Provider in the MyChildren’s network.

Professional Credentials: Licensed Psychologist in Texas, Registrant of the National Register of Health Service Psychologists, Member of the American Psychological Association

Experience: Worked as a Licensed Psychologist at Jewish Family Service in Dallas, TX. Completed post-doctoral fellowship at Cook Children’s Medical Center in Denton, TX, with a focus on neuropsychological and psychological evaluations, and pre-doctoral internship at The Children’s Assessment Center in Houston, TX, with a specialty on individuals who experienced sexual trauma and Posttraumatic Stress Disorder. Fulfilled pre-doctoral psychology externships at Harbour Pointe in Baltimore, MD, and the Multicultural Clinical Center in Springfield, VA.
