Ranked #1 in Orthopedics by U.S. News & World Report 2013-2014
When your child is cared for by the Children’s Orthopedics team, know they are being cared for by the best.
In 2013, U.S. News & World Report recognized the Orthopedics program at Children’s as the best pediatric program in the United States. The department is also consistently ranked as one of the Top 10 of its kind in the nation by Parents magazine. The orthopedic service is provided by Children’s Medical Center and Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children through The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas.
Orthopedic experts at Children’s treat more children with bone fractures than any other medical center in North Texas. Yet, fractures aren’t all we do. Our staff cares for children with a variety of orthopedic problems — from routine injuries to rare musculoskeletal infections and sports medicine. Eight pediatric orthopedic surgeons as well as an expert clinical staff are dedicated to the care of your child. Their range of expertise includes:
- Traumatic injuries
- Sports medicine
- Musculoskeletal infections
- Hip disorders
- Limb length discrepancies
- Hand injuries
Our physicians also are faculty members of the orthopedic department at UT Southwestern. There, they have access to and participate in research that is instrumental in developing treatments, therapies and a greater understanding of pediatric diseases. As a result, patients who visit Children’s always receive the most current and effective orthopedic treatments available.
