Grief and bereavement services
Grief is the price of the enormous love shared for another, and although it is a natural reaction, each person’s grief experience is different, with no formal stages or predictable timeline. There is no right or wrong way to grieve, and the pressure to “cure” or “get over” grief often leaves individuals feeling isolated and overwhelmed.
At Children’s Health℠, we know your grief is unique and although there are no words to ease the pain, we will be here to walk alongside you as you navigate your grief journey. If you have questions or wish to contact a bereavement staff member, please call 214-456-3555 or email griefsupport@childrens.com
Helpful information
MyChart access
Children’s Health provides continued access to your child’s MyChart account for one year. There may be test results that appear in MyChart after your child’s death. If you wish to turn off these notifications without turning off notifications for your other children, follow these steps:
- Login to MyChart and go to the profile you wish to turn off notifications for.
- Open the menu by clicking or tapping the menu icon.
- In the Account Settings section, select Communication Preferences.
- Toggle Email, Text message, and Push notification to off.
Be aware that if you deactivate your child’s MyChart account, your proxy account will be closed, and you will lose MyChart access to the accounts if you have other children who are seen at Children’s Health.
If you have any questions or concerns about your MyChart access, please call 214-456-2503.
