Biography
Brian Snarr, M.D., Ph.D., is a pediatric cardiologist at Children’s Health℠ specializing in caring for infants, children, adolescents and young adults. Dr. Snarr is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in general pediatrics and pediatric cardiology and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Snarr provides general cardiology care, fetal cardiology and echocardiography (ultrasound imaging of the heart). He is passionate about supporting families in need of cardiac care. “I love to help children with abnormal hearts have a chance to live life just like a normal kid,” says Dr. Snarr.

Dr. Snarr received his Bachelor of Arts in Mandarin Chinese from the University of Utah. He went on to earn his Doctor of Philosophyin Cell Biology and Doctor of Medicine from The Medical University of South Carolina. He completed his residency in pediatrics at UT Southwestern Medical School. Dr. Snarr completed two fellowships, one in pediatric cardiology and the second in non-invasive cardiac imaging, at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
Dr. Snarr has received several awards for excellence in patient care and satisfaction. He has also been recognized and awarded by his colleagues for his dedication to excellence in teamwork, communication, and collaboration.
Dr. Snarr is an invited lecturer and speaks frequently on healthcare coding and billing practices. He has authored several book chapters and has published numerous works in scientific journals.
Dr. Snarr speaks Mandarin Chinese. He is an active member of his community and church. “For two years, I lived in Taiwan, where I served as a missionary for my church,” said Dr. Snarr. Born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah, Dr. Snarr and his wife have five kids. In his free time, he enjoys playing the piano and spending time with his family. “We enjoy rollerblading, movie nights with homemade pizza and game nights.”
