As the eighth-largest pediatric health care provider in the U.S. and the only academically affiliated pediatric hospital in North Texas, Children’s Health is proud to partner with referring providers to deliver exceptional care to every child, every time. When you need to refer/admit a patient, or seek a consultation, our specialists are here for you. They will work closely to assure that each patient gets the very best care available based on their needs.
How to Refer a Patient
Children’s Health is making it easier for referring providers to refer patients into our system to ensure patients have access to the right care, at the right time, in the right place within our system.

2. Clinical Nurse Liaison (CNL) 214-456-8145
Our Clinical Nurse Liaison team facilitates real-time provider-to-provider communication for patient visits. Our nurses ensure a seamless referral experience to Children’s Health Emergency Departments and proactively share updates with community providers.
3. Transport a Patient > 888-730-3627
Neonatal and pediatric specialty transport services, including specialized air and ground transport for children and premature infants.
4. Provider Relations Managers >
Dedicated support for provider partnerships: physician liaisons work to foster positive, open and helpful relationships between the hospital and referring physicians. The liaison team maintains an in-depth knowledge of practice needs and serves physicians and their patients through:
Communicating hospital updates and priority messaging in person and virtually
Building personal and mutually beneficial relationships between PCPs and specialists
Creating educational opportunities for community providers
Resolving issues or questions in a timely manner
