Biography

Fabien Arous M.D. is a sports medicine physician at Children’s Health℠ Andrews Institute for Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. He specializes in non-operative management of sports injuries in teenagers and adults. He is dual board certified in Internal Medicine and Sports Medicine. 

Born in France, he obtained his medical degree and completed a Family Medicine residency at Université de Lorraine in Nancy, France. He then moved to the USA and completed an Internal Medicine residency at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida, followed by a Primary Care Sports Medicine fellowship at the Andrews Institute in Gulf Breeze, Florida under the teachings of renown physicians – Dr. James Andrews and Dr. Joshua Hackel. 

Dr. Arous played soccer at an elite level as a teenager and understands sports related injuries, all challenges they can bring, and the importance of proper care management. He has a particular interest in using ultrasound technology, which provides increased precision through immediate visualization, to help guide his diagnosis and treatment. His robust training allows him to treat teenagers and adults suffering from any acute, subacute and chronic musculoskeletal complaints.

Dr. Arous is married and has 2 children. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with friends and family, playing soccer, table tennis, chess, as well as traveling to different countries and exploring new cuisines.

  • Diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound
  • Platelet right plasma (PRP) injections
  • Tenotomies (tenex) for Tennis elbow, Golfer elbow, plantar fascia, patellar tendon, Achilles’s tendon, gluteus medius and minimus, rotator cuffs
  • Ultrasound guided procedures/injections for most joints/muscles/ligaments/tendon
