Biography

Dr. Jorge Bezera with patient Emily - GI Transplant - Children's Health

Jorge A. Bezerra, M.D. is a pediatric gastroenterologist at Children's Health℠ and a Professor at UT Southwestern Medical Center. 

Dr. Bezerra earned his medical degree from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte School of Medicine in Brazil. He completed his residency at the University of Arizona Health Sciences and he completed clinical and research fellowships in pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology, and nutrition at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.

Dr. Bezerra's research interest include biliary atresia and the study of liver diseases.
