Biography
Laura McClendon, M.D., is a Pediatrician at Children’s Health℠. Her focuses include educating families and providing care for babies during the newborn period as well as helping children develop healthy habits so they grow up to be healthy adults.
I enjoy working closely with families to promote healthy growth and development and am committed to creating a supportive and comfortable environment for patients and their families.

Dr. McClendon earned her medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. She completed her residency in pediatrics at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center Children’s Medical Center of Dallas.
Dedicated to ensuring children have the best possible care, Dr. McClendon spearheads the Early Hearing Detection and Intervention (EHDI) Quality Improvement Project, aiming to help pediatricians diagnose hearing problems as early as possible and connect families with appropriate care.
Dr. McClendon is a Dallas native. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, reading, playing tennis and scuba diving.
