Biography

Michael Dehart, DNP, CPNP, is a pediatric nurse practitioner licensed through the State of Texas Board of Nursing. He is board certified through the PNCB. Michael cares for children and their families at Children’s Health℠ and has a clinical interest in treating mental health concerns, allergies, and ENT conditions. He also treats cranial anomalies, such as plagiocephaly, a condition where an infant's soft skull becomes misshaped. He is passionate about creating relationships with the patients and families he serves. With over 14 years of experience, he “considers it an honor and privilege to care for children and support their families.” 

I particularly enjoy being a health care provider in the community in which I live.
Michael Dehart

Michael received his nursing degree from Northwestern State University in Shreveport, LA. He earned his Master of Science and Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of South Alabama, Mobile, AL. While in school, he received the Leadership Award for his graduating class and was a member of the Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society and Alpha Zeta Honor Fraternity. Michael has extensive experience in primary care, providing wellness exams, health maintenance, acute care, managing chronic illness and treating psychiatric conditions. He has previously served as a senior clinician that assessed, diagnosed and treated cranial anomalies such as plagiocephaly, scaphocephaly, and brachycephaly. He also has experience managing infants with a history of post-op synostosis.

Michael has also used his experience to train new clinicians and has performed educational in-services with clinical sales representatives and clinicians.

Michael truly enjoys working with his patients and their families, “I particularly enjoy being a health care provider in the community in which I live. Working with children and their families is a privilege, and watching kids grow and thrive brings me a great deal of satisfaction. It’s an honor to help parents navigate their children's ups and downs and witness the positive outcomes that evidence-based care brings,” says Michael.

He enjoys spending time with his family, coaching basketball, playing tennis and traveling in his free time.
