Taylor Pinney, APRN, PNP $$

Taylor Pinney, APRN, PNP, is a nurse practitioner at Children’s Health℠. Her clinical interests include adverse childhood experiences and their impact on lifelong health, pediatric mental health and patient advocacy. 

I have always had an affinity for kids and knew quickly in nursing school that pediatrics was my calling.

“Pediatric health care is my passion,” she says. “I have always had an affinity for kids and knew quickly in nursing school that pediatrics was my calling. It is such a deeply rewarding specialty. We often have the opportunity to turn a frown upside down in an otherwise crummy situation. It has been so fulfilling to watch kids grow up through all ages and stages and to provide care for growing families.”

Taylor earned her Master’s in Nursing from the University of South Alabama. Her care philosophy is to help patients and families understand any health conditions their child is experiencing and make educated decisions about their care. 

“Delivering collaborative and informed care is one of my top priorities," she says. “I always want parents to feel like we are a team and that I value their input in establishing a plan of care. After all, they know their child the best!”

Outside of work, she enjoys thrifting, going to concerts, trying new restaurants and spending time with her three dogs.
