Nursing Administration
Nursing Students requesting Preceptorship
The Nursing Administration department here at Children’s Health is made up of a very diverse group of nurses with years of senior leadership and training experience. Our volunteer preceptors each accept 2 students per year (1 at a time) and look forward to meeting you and assisting you in your quest to expand your nursing experience and knowledge base. We hope that you have a wonderful and educational experience while you are here.
While you are here as a student, we want you to have an enjoyable and educational experience. You will need to download a copy of the Precepted Student Handbook; you will want to read it carefully and completely.
Steps for requesting placement:
- The first step is to download and complete the Student Request Form.
- Hosting departments will complete the hosting department section on the form
- Students will complete the Student and School Sections on the form
- E-mail the completed form to the Administrative Liaison for the Nursing Administration Department at the address below.
- The Administrative Liaison for the Nursing Administration Department is Lori Batchelor. Please forward all paperwork to: Lori.Batchelor@childrens.com
- The Administrative Liaison for Graduate Student Services is Linda Grande, if you are an APRN, please contact Graduatestudentservices@childrens.com
- You will then be contacted by Student Services to complete the process to be cleared for your rotation. If you are a Children’s Health employee, you have already met most of the requirements so the process will be simplified for you.
