The family that cooks together grows healthy together

Getting kids involved in the kitchen and preparing meals is one of the most effective ways to get them excited about – and engaged in – eating healthy. But that can sometimes be a challenge between busy schedules, picky eating habits and lack of recipes that work for the whole family.

Get Up & Go by Children’s Health℠ helps your family learn how to prepare delicious and nutritious recipes while having fun. You will leave the Family Cooking Program with more confidence in your kitchen and cooking skills.

Find the menu that’s right for you 

Led by an instructor and dietitian, this program will give every family tips and tricks to find recipes that are enjoyable for everyone and make cooking fun. We’ll cover everything from how to hold a knife to introducing new foods to try. You’ll also learn:

  • Basic cooking techniques to make meal preparation easier
  • Tips to make healthy food taste delicious
  • How to fit healthy eating into any budget

Give our cooking class a try

This is a 4-week program for families with children ages 9 to 14. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Classes are offered in English and Spanish.
