Our history

Our practice was founded in 2005 to provide high-quality, compassionate care for children in Wylie and surrounding areas. From our start in the former Hamptons Cleaners building in historic downtown Wylie, we soon expanded into the former Wylie Pharmacy building.

As a practice, we work to be an integral part of the Wylie/Lovejoy community. We support the Wylie ISD athletic programs, Wylie FFA, Wylie ISD PTA programs, Lovejoy ISD athletics, Wylie/Sachse/Murphy/Lovejoy Relay for Life and many other community events. Our practice also supports the Wylie ISD school nursing department.

Primary Care Services

At our Wylie clinic, we offer a comprehensive range of primary care to help your child achieve their best health and wellness. From preventive care to sick visits to chronic disease management, we diagnose, treat and help prevent a wide range of conditions and injuries.

Newborn Care
From the moment your baby is born, you want to make sure they grow healthy and strong. That’s why newborn visits are important. In these checkups, our providers monitor your baby’s health when they are growing fast and reaching one developmental milestone after another. We also run tests and provide routine vaccinations.
Well-Child Visits and Preventive Care
When your child comes in for a well-child visit, our pediatricians and providers will evaluate their health, growth and development. We measure their height, weight and vital signs (temperature, heart rate and blood pressure). We’ll also go through your child’s personal and family medical history to understand their current health and any preexisting conditions.
From there, we perform a comprehensive physical exam, checking everything from reflexes and nerve function to the heart and lungs. During a well-child visit, our providers may also give your child appropriate vaccines to keep them safe and healthy. We also do other evaluations such as hearing, vision and behavioral screenings.
Our pediatricians and providers strongly believe that immunizations play an important role in maintaining your child’s health. Our team follows the American Academy of Pediatrics recommended immunization schedule. If you have any questions about immunizations, our providers are happy to answer them.
Our pediatricians and providers don’t just take care of your child when they’re sick — we also provide preventive care through well-child visits. We’re here to support your child’s best possible health so they can enjoy a healthy, active life.
Sick-Child Visits
When your child is sick, it’s comforting to know that help and advice from our pediatricians and providers are just a phone call away. A sick child visit can help your child feel better sooner, and we can often see your child the same day you call us.
Conditions We Evaluate and Treat
Our pediatricians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners have experience in diagnosing and treating a wide variety of injuries, illnesses and conditions in children. We provide acute care for sudden, short-term issues, such as the flu or sprains, as well as ongoing management for chronic diseases such as asthma or epilepsy.
Among the many conditions and injuries we treat are:
  • Common childhood illnesses such as asthma, allergies, colds, ear infections and flu
  • Developmental disorders such as attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism spectrum disorders and Down syndrome
  • Endocrine conditions, including diabetes, growth disorders and thyroid disease
  • Epilepsy and seizures
  • Eye conditions such as alignment conditions and premature infant eye problems
  • Pediatric heart conditions, including congenital (present at birth) heart diseases, heart murmurs and heart failure
  • Urinary tract and reproductive organ conditions, including obstructive uropathy, foreskin issues and vaginal conditions
Screening and Testing
Our pediatricians and providers perform a wide range of health screenings and tests during routine well-child visits. With these screenings and tests, we monitor your child’s:
  • Behavioral health, including anxiety, ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, depression, eating disorders and sleep disorders
  • Development, including communication, motor (movement), cognitive (thinking) and social skills
  • Hearing
  • Ability to participate in school, camp and sports (physicals)
  • Tuberculosis risk
  • Vision
