Health Information & Literacy
How can a medical librarian help?
At Children’s Health, our medical librarians are here to help you weed through the amount of health information. They can train you on checking for accuracy, writers’ authority, bias and whether the information is up to date – or do this for you. They can also help you research specific health topics and sources of information on the health and wellness of your child and family.
These are some of the things they can help you with:
- Newly diagnosed conditions
- Procedures and treatments
- Health literacy session
